Sarah Michelle Gellar made a heartwarming tribute to her former co-star Michelle Trachtenberg, who recently died at the age of 39.

Gellar shared a modified quote from the supernatural series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” to honor Trachtenberg.

“Michelle, listen to me. Listen. I love you. I will always love you. The hardest thing in this world is to live in it. I will be brave. I will live… for you,” she wrote alongside their pictures from the set.

The line was taken from a scene in the series where Buffy Gellar tells her younger sister, Dawn Summers (Trachtenberg), that “the hardest thing in this world is to live in it.”

Prior to Gellar’s tribute, other “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” actors, Alyson Hannigan and James Marsters, also paid their respects to Trachtenberg.

Aside from her role in the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” Trachtenberg also made a name for herself when she played Georgina Sparks in the hit teen drama “Gossip Girl.”

“Gossip Girl” star Jessica Szohr also recently penned a heartfelt tribute to the late actress, describing the latter as “one of a kind.”

“This amazing woman bursts onto the scene with energy that instantly brings a smile to your face. She’s not only a true professional, but she’s also the perfect antidote to anyone who takes life a bit too seriously,” wrote Szohr in her caption alongside their pictures.

“Her kindness and outrageous sense of humor create an atmosphere of joy, both on set and beyond. We shared countless laughs during filming, over the phone, and at various events. Her captivating stories are so entertaining that you can’t help but want to hear more! She’s truly one of a kind,” she added.
