Kris Bernal has returned to acting after more than two years of hiatus to focus on her motherhood journey.
Bernal recently shared a clip of her acting comeback via the weekly drama anthology “Tadhana,” in which she plays the role of a mother who has to leave her husband and newborn to work as a caregiver abroad.
In her caption, the “StarStruck” alumna admitted that she had second thoughts about accepting the role since she thought she might no longer know how to act.
“Acting is my first love. And, first love never dies. I never thought I would return to acting on TV after 2 years + of motherhood break. To be honest, I was halfhearted to accept this because I didn’t know if I could still act, and because I’m still exclusively breastfeeding,” she wrote.

Bernal said that her going back to work is also a way for her and her daughter to establish new routines as she also teased her teleserye comeback.
“I thought long and hard about it for a few days before saying yes. Perhaps it’s time for Hailee and I to move forward and try to establish new routines and habits. And, three days of taping wouldn’t hurt so much, huh?!” she stated.
“For now, episodes are all I can do […] Let’s see when we are ready to return to a teleserye,” she concluded the post.
In the comments section, fans expressed their enthusiasm for Bernal’s return.
