Former co-stars Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal, beloved for their iconic roles in the hit movie “When Harry Met Sally,” have sparked excitement among fans after teasing an upcoming reunion on social media.

On Instagram, Ryan shared a photo of her and Crystal sitting on a vintage-style sofa, referencing a scene from the 1989 romantic comedy movie.

Crystal wore a cream-colored knit sweater, while the actress sported a black blazer over a white long-sleeve blouse.

The two were dressed similarly to show how their titular characters Sally Albright and Harry Burns dressed in the movie.

The black blazer over white blouse that Ryan wore in the teaser photo was almost similar to what her character Sally wore for the famous orgasm scene where she “faked it” at a restaurant she and Harry were dining in.

Meanwhile, what Crystal wore in the new image mirrored the signature look of his character Harry: a white knit sweater paired with blue jeans and white sneakers.

“It’s finally happening; we’re reuniting for something iconic. Can’t wait to show you all soon [blue heart],” Ryan captioned her post, tagging Crystal’s Instagram account.

It’s unclear what reunion the duo are hinting at, but netizens speculated that it could be for a Superbowl commercial, while fans hoped that it would be a “When Harry Met Sally” sequel or a new movie altogether.

“I need a sequel (but I’m thinking it’s a Super Bowl commercial?),” one Instagram user wrote under the post. Another netizen predicted, “I bet it’s a Super Bowl ad [heart emoji].”

“When Harry Met Sally,” directed by Rob Reiner and written by Nora Ephron, received critical acclaim upon its release. On its opening weekend, the movie grossed $1,094,453 in 41 theatres, the second highest-grossing opening weekend for a film on fewer than 50 screens, behind “Star Wars” (1977).
