American singer Lady Gaga and Rosé of Blackpink made a surprise appearance in Bruno Mars’ music video rolled out on Friday, Jan. 24.

The American singer dropped the single “Fat, Juicy & Wet,” featuring Gaga, Rosé, and rapper Sexyy Red.

The four musicians donning matching suits danced to the hip-hop tune, and Rosé and Sexyy Red teamed up to attempt moves from “APT.,” Rosé’s previous collaboration with Mars.

“APT.,” a prerelease single from Rosé’s first solo full album “Rosie,” has set a slew of records including hitting the highest spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for a K-pop solo female singer — No. 5.

The single surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify within seven days of its release. This marks the fastest such achievement for a female K-pop solo artist and the second-fastest overall for a K-pop act, following Jungkook of BTS.

Rosé and Mars’ collaboration earned them the “Global Sensation Award,” marking the Filipino American hitmaker’s first MAMA trophy and a significant milestone in his entry into the K-pop world.

A vinyl version of the album hit stores in Korea on Friday. The LP edition was released last month overseas and will be available in limited numbers.

Meanwhile, Mars’ collaboration with Gaga on “Die with a Smile” has also skyrocketed streaming numbers.

“Die with a Smile” sold over 14,000 digital copies in the United States during its first four days of availability and a full tracking week of 21,000 copies sold (digital and physical combined).

The song peaked at No. 1 on different streaming platforms during its release week. It also debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the week dated Aug. 31, 2024, becoming Mars’ 19th top 10 and Gaga’s 18th in the country.

As of the moment, both “APT” and “Die with a Smile” continue to generate streaming records.
