Alodia Gosiengfiao informed fans that a fake ad using her videos to promote gambling has been circulating on social media, with the content creator stressing that she will never be affiliated with any gambling entity.

Gosiengfiao said this after a netizen reached out to her to ask if she consented to the use of her video in an ad for a gambling game.

“No, they used my video without asking/consent,” Gosiengfiao stated via her Facebook page last Saturday, Feb. 1. “If you see any videos similar to this, please help us report.”

Gosiengfiao thanked those who have made her aware of the fake ad, also providing the links to it for her followers to report it.

“I want to clarify that I am not promoting, nor will I ever promote or be affiliated with any gambling entity,” she stressed.

Gambling endorsements of celebrities have recently been the subject of discussions among fans, after actress Nadine Lustre promoted online gambling as a brand ambassador of an online casino.

Some netizens expressed their dismay over Lustre, a known advocate for animal rights and environmental causes, while others defended her “hustle.” There were also those who pointed out several other celebrities who are also brand ambassadors of gambling platforms.

The actress seemingly alluded to the matter by saying that it’s an individual’s “choice” if they would engage in gambling.
