Justin Bieber trended on the internet after reportedly going on an unfollowing spree on Instagram, unfollowing even his wife Hailey Baldwin-Beiber, stoking split rumors between the new parents.
The Canadian pop artist and the American model-entrepreneur had just recently welcomed their first baby last August, an event that many believed cemented their relationship.
Many were shocked on Monday (US time) when Beiber stopped following most of his close friends and affiliates, among them record producer Scooter Braun, who discovered him in 2008, and singer-songwriter Usher, who mentored him.
But the biggest shock came when it was found out that Beiber also unfollowed his wife and father-in-law, Stephen Baldwin, who had been vocal about lending support to the troubled singer.
Luckily, not many were convinced that the couple were headed to a breakup as Baldwin still follows her husband on Instagram.
Just two days prior, Beiber even shared a short but sweet shoutout to Baldwin, who was with him in an Aspen getaway, together with her pal Kendall Jenner, calling her “the greatest woman I have and will ever know,” appearing to address relentless breakup rumors.
The Beibers welcomed their baby last August, as the “Stay” singer took to Instagram to share a photo of the foot of their newborn, whom they named Jack Blues.
In 2016, the couple first announced their relationship to the public and got engaged two years later. They tied the knot in Sept. 2018 at a civil ceremony in New York City.
Aside from his unfollowing binge, Beiber is also under fire for posting pictures of himself on Instagram hitting what appeared to be marijuana.

The incident was believed to have happened also in Aspen where the “Peaches” singer was vacationing with his family and friends.
This post prompted concerns that the singer may be spiraling out of control.
