Selena Antonio-Reyes has ended her reign as Miss Universe Philippines-Pasig by crowning her successor, who will now also try to create as much impact on society as she had done, or even more.

The former titleholder made history as the first married woman and mother to represent Pasig City in the Miss Universe Philippines pageant, more than a decade since participating in the Binibining Pilipinas contest.

Reyes relinquished her title to Alessandra Eugenio, the representative from Brgy. Bagong Ilog, who bested 17 other aspirants in the competition held at the Metrotent in Pasig City on Jan. 31, and which ended early morning on Feb. 1.

Eugenio will attempt to exceed her predecessor’s Top 20 placement in the national pageant and try to become the first delegate from Pasig City to win the Miss Universe Philippines title since its inception in 2020.

Aside from clinching the crown, the new queen also collected quite a number of awards during the competition. She was proclaimed as Miss Mestiza, Miss Med Skin Prime, and ARTE’s Choice.

Eugenio also tightened her hold on the Miss Universe Philippines Pasig crown early in the competition by receiving the very important Best in Swimsuit and Best in Long Gown awards.

Settling for the first runner-up spot was Alessandrea Tan from Brgy. Pinagbuhatan, who was also first runner-up in the 2023 Mr. and Miss Chinatown Philippines pageant. She also took home the Miss Popularity and Darling of the Press awards.

Maybunga’s Sophia Gella Catoc was second runner-up, while Miss Diligence Princilla Keith Cuevas from San Miguel was third runner-up.

Cuevas’ fellow Miss Diligence Anthonet Bernardo from Oranbo rounded up the winners’ circle as fourth runner-up. She also received the Miss Beauty Queen and Miss St. Gerrard Construction awards.
