Yassi Pressman was so delighted after meeting a child from Cebu who was named after her that she offered to support the latter’s schooling for a year.
Pressman documented her visit to a market in Cebu through a video on her Instagram page last Tuesday, Jan. 28.
In the clip, Pressman was having a photo shoot in front of a store of dried goods when a female bystander apparently told the actress that she named her child Yassi.
“Pinangalan mo sa akin?” Pressman asked, to which the mother replied, “Yes! Yassi.”
“Really? Naghahanap ako ng Baby Yassi!” the actress said with surprise.
The mother then went to fetch her daughter, also bringing the child’s educational certificate to prove her real name. Pressman hugged the child while talking to the mother about her daughter’s studies.
“Grade 1 [siya], very good! Sige, sagot ko na ‘yung Grade 2 niya,” Pressman told the mom, who shouted in delight.
The three of them then took a photo before parting ways, with the actress instructing the mother to be in contact with her team.

“Unexpected special moments are simply the best. Salamat Carbon Market, kay mommy at Baby Yassi for making our Cebu trip extra memorable,” Pressman captioned her post.
Pressman stated that she is looking for more babies who share the same name as hers. “My goal is to meet you all.”
