Zsa Zsa Padilla laughed off memes about her supposedly being “uninterested” in watching the GMA TV series “Mga Batang Riles,” which was recommended to her by one of its lead stars, Miguel Tanfelix, via a tweet she did not immediately notice.

The exchange started after the veteran singer-actress shared on X (formerly Twitter) last Jan. 16 that she had already finished watching the ABS-CBN TV series “Lavender Fields.”

“Ano kaya next na kakahumalingan?” she said, which drew responses from fans who recommended shows for her to check out.

Among those who replied to her tweet and gave recommendations was Tanfelix.

“hello ms zsa zsa! try nyo po silipin yung Mga Batang Riles hehe salamat po,” he wrote.

However, Padilla did not immediately respond to the actor. Incidentally, Padilla later shared that she started watching ABS-CBN TV series “Incognito,” which airs around the same time slot as “Mga Batang Riles.’”

Days later, on Wednesday, Jan. 29, Padilla responded to Tanfelix, apologizing for not seeing his message right away.

“Thanks for the reco! Will watch it next! My apologies, did not see your message earlier,” Padilla said.

Meanwhile, a netizen apparently poked fun at Padilla’s unintended snub, sharing a scene from a TV show wherein the singer-actress looks at a television screen and says, “Hindi ako interesado sa mga bagay na ‘yan.” The netizen edited the clip and overlayed a scene from “Mga Batang Riles” on the television screen.

“Hahaha! Kaloka kayo!” Padilla replied.

Aside from Tanfelix, “Mga Batang Riles” stars Kokoy de Santos, Zephanie Dimaranan, Jay Manalo, Ronnie Ricketts, Diana Zubiri and Desiree del Valle, among others.
